Read What Kate Has to Say

My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the belief that emotional distress is a result of multitude of factors that impact a person. From this perspective, I work with clients on all levels of being, focusing on greater hope and healing in their mental, emotional, and behavioral health. I am passionate about assisting people on their journey in efforts to improve mental health issues and cope with stress. I believe that the mind is resilient and that strengths are meant to be celebrated and built upon.

I utilize a variety of psychotherapy approaches, mindfulness and meditation to highlight a few, alongside traditional psychotherapy approaches like behavioral activation, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, communication skill building and emotional support. I specialize in working with adults, couples, and clients with co-occurring disorders. Whatever life challenges you are facing, I will create a warm, inviting, and safe space to support your emotional healing and overall wellness.

I am trained and certified in critical incident stress management. I enjoy working with first responders to help navigate and process emotional responses to critical incidents.  the concerns she treats include anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral/emotional disorders, adjustment disorders, and relationship issues. She uses a warm, non-judgmental approach to help clients better understand their patterns of feeling, thinking, and behaving and to learn to cope and communicate in healthier ways.
